업데이트 : Sumatra PDF 1.4

해외에서 제작되어 한글을 지원하는 오픈 소스(Open Source) PDF Reader 프로그램 Sumatra PDF 1.4 버전이 공개되었습니다.

이번 버전에서는 웹 브라우저 플러그인, Windows Desktop Search를 이용한 PDF 문서 내용 찾기, 사용자 지정 폴더 설치, Sumatra PDF 설치 파일이 Anti-Virus 보안 제품에 진단되는 문제 해결, AES-256 암호화 문서 지원 등의 기능 개선이 있었습니다.

또한 Integer Overflow를 유발하는 보안 취약점이 발견되어 해당 문제에 대한 보안 패치가 포함되어 있으므로 사용하시는 분들은 반드시 업데이트를 하시기 바랍니다.

1. browser plugin for Firefox/Chrome/Opera (Internet Explorer is not supported). It's not installed by default so you have to check the apropriate checkbox in the installer
2. IFilter that enables full-text search of PDF files in Windows Desktop Search (i.e. search from Windows Vista/7's Start Menu). Also not installed by default
3. scrolling with right mouse button
4. you can choose a custom installation directory in the intstaller
5. menu items for re-opening current document in Foxit and PDF-XChange (if they're installed)
6. we no longer compress the installer executable with mpress. It caused some anti-virus programs to falsely report Sumatra as a virus. The downside is that the binaries on disk are now bigger. Note: we still compress the portable .zip version
7. -title cmd-line option was removed
8. support for AES-256 encrypted PDF documents
9. fixed an integer overflow reported by Jeroen van der Gun and and other small fixes and improvements to PDF handling

해당 프로그램은 Setup 설치 파일 또는 무설치 버전을 함께 제공하고 있으므로 사용자들이 원하시는 설치 방식으로 설치할 수 있으므로 참고하시기 바랍니다.
