업데이트 : Google Chrome 12.0.742.91

구글(Google)에서 제공하는 오픈 소스 기반 웹 브라우저 Google Chrome 12.0.742.91 정식 버전이 공개되었습니다.

이번 Google Chrome 12 버전에서는 다음과 같은 새로운 기능이 추가되었습니다.

• Hardware accelerated 3D CSS
• New Safe Browsing protection against downloading malicious files
• Ability to delete Flash cookies from inside Chrome
• Launch Apps by name from the Omnibox
• Integrated Sync into new settings pages
• Improved screen reader support
• New warning when hitting Command-Q on Mac
• Removal of Google Gears

특히 보안 강화 측면에서 사용자가 인터넷 상에서 악성 파일을 다운로드할 경우 Safe Browsing Protection 기능을 통해 사전에 차단하는 기능을 제공하게 되었습니다.

추가적으로 이번 버전에서는 High 등급(5건), Medium 등급(6건), Low 등급(3건) 총 14개의 보안 취약점에 대한 패치가 추가되었습니다.

● High 등급

1. CVE-2011-1808 : Use-after-free due to integer issues in float handling.
2. CVE-2011-1813 : Stale pointer in extension framework.
3. CVE-2011-1818 : Use-after-free in image loader.
4. CVE-2011-2332 : Same origin bypass in v8.
5. CVE-2011-2342 : Same origin bypass in DOM.

● Medium 등급

1. CVE-2011-1809 : Use-after-free in accessibility support.
2. CVE-2011-1812 : Extensions permission bypass.
3. CVE-2011-1814 : Read from uninitialized pointer.
4. CVE-2011-1816 : Use-after-free in developer tools.
5. CVE-2011-1817 : Browser memory corruption in history deletion.
6. CVE-2011-1819 : Extension injection into chrome:// pages.

● Low 등급

1. CVE-2011-1810 : Visit history information leak in CSS.
2. CVE-2011-1811 : Browser crash with lots of form submissions.
3. CVE-2011-1815 : Extension script injection into new tab page.
